Happy Easter everyone, I hope you enjoyed a chocolate filled weekend! There have been lots of gorgeous Easter themed posts popping up around the web, this sweet photo shoot from Fotopastele, and this Easter themed shoot on Ruffled being two of my favourites.
Traditionally eggs are a symbol of new life and growth, so they can be a wonderfully significant (and pretty!) theme to include as you start a new life with your partner on your wedding day. I love the idea of an egg wreath, or eggs instead of name cards on the tables! Check out the cute egg inspiration below:
1 Decoupaged Eggs from Bailiwick Studio // 2 Decorative Speckled Egg from Pottery Barn // 3 Easter Wreath from Jane Means // 4 Egg Place Card by Everyday Occasions // Personalised Candy Eggs from Andie’s Speciality Sweets // 6 Watercolour Pale Blue Egg Tags from Sandbox Cards and Gifts
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you’re feeling refreshed after the weekend!
I can hardly believe it’s week three here already at Sparkle & Swish, time is rushing by very quickly. So far the support you’ve all shown has been wonderful, it’s really encouraging. I have great plans for the future of this little blog, it’s exciting for me to watch it grow.
This morning I’ve put together some silhouette inspiration for you. Silhouettes are a sweet theme for your big day, you can use them to link together so many different parts of your wedding, from save the dates, to cake toppers, and decorative garlands.
If you plan on DIYing lots of different elements of your day, then you can use the same silhouette shapes throughout each part to add a sense of unity. There’s a really simple video tutorial here, that will show you how to make a silhouette from a photo – so you can try making a silhouette from real photos of you and your fiancé, what a gorgeous personal touch that would be!
If you’d rather have wedding biz professionals help you create your silhouette theme, then there are plenty of suggestions below of Etsy sellers who can give you a hand.
