Check out this gorgeous engagement shoot from the Lewis and Louise of Black Box Photography! I love how they’ve merged the ruggedness of the Irish landscape with the affection of this sweet pair, Carole and Declan; it’s made for a very romantic shoot with a stunning setting.
Carole shared a little about how they met and came to be engaged:
“We were actually in the same year in secondary school for two years yet didn’t know each other until we met through mutual friends in September 2000. Within weeks we had become best friends, chatting every day on the phone and texting after school. At the end of October Declan asked me out to which I replied…ask me again in a few weeks! We remained really good friends until the January 12th when I plucked up the courage to ask him to ask me out again! So he did and the rest is history!
I made a joke to Declan in the summer of 2010 saying if someone were to make me their wife, and we both looked at each other and laughed…I think we both knew it was going to happen then! We got engaged in October 2010 in Peurto de la Cruz in Tenerife, with a romantic balcony proposal from Declan, but believe it or not after 11 years it still came as a shock to me!”
It’s not long until Carole & Declan are getting married in Co Donegal, and they plan to incorporate their love of the sea into their wedding day – can’t wait to see those photos! Best of luck to you both, wishing you a wonderful wedding day and a long happy life together. And a big thanks to Black Box Photography for sharing their work, make sure to pay their blog a visit to see lots more fab shoots they’ve done all over Northern and Southern Ireland.

Hi Eadaoin, thanks so much for featuring Carole & Declan’s engagement photos. We loved this shoot – such a perfect couple & location x
I like the way you’ve used black and white vs colour in these photographs! The outcome is gorgeous.
Beautiful pictures of such a great couple. Roll on the Wedding :-)) xxx
